Died: 24 June 1986

He was an English classicist, writer and translator. He is now probably best remembered for The Aerodrome (1941) He was born Reginald Ernest Warner in Birmingham, England.
Warner's work can be separated into three distinct stages. The first one, the shorter is the one devoted to poetry. While at Oxford, he worked in a series of poems that eventually published in 1937 in the volume Poems. The second stage comprises Warner their first novels. Written in the mid-twentieth century primerta, Warner shows in them a strong social conscience and concern about the concerns of the man of his time. This pattern obeys his early works such as Hunting the Wild Goose (1936), Professor (1938), The Aerodrome (1941) and Why Was I Killed? (1943).
